Spelling: Students completed a spelling test today.
Cursive: Cursive pp. 16-18 are available and are due Friday.

Writing: We talked more about adding action details for the plot, talking for characters, and visual details for the setting. Each of these details should be repeatedly included throughout writing, over and over.
Students also started drafting today.
A “fictionalized” personal narrative is due Sunday, November 3. Homework on weekdays is to work on writing for 15 minutes. Your student should be finished with prewriting and should have their draft started, with 10 lines typed by tonight.
Math: We practiced multi-digit addition today. Homework on weekdays is to practice math for 15 minutes using MobyMax or Khan Academy.
Science: We labeled a map and used evidence from rocks and fossils to write a scientific argument about if our study area, Desert Rocks National Park, used to be underwater in the past.
Social Studies: We finished writing notes in our minibooks about important ideas we have learned about government so far.
Character Strength: We are learning about integrity this week.
