November 7th, 2012
Class activities for Wednesday, November 7
Spelling: None today due to completing math facts tests.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences of seven or more words each are due on Fridays.
Reading: Students continued to work on Literature Circles projects to share their books with the class.
Writing: We talked about using a recurring details in a story. This is a detail that is used more than once, often in the beginning and then later in the middle or end. This is a way to connect the parts of the story and give a special focus. It also helps the piece to feel more organized.
The next piece of writing, a fiction story, will be due on Monday, November 26.
Math: Students continued to practice multiplying using the standard method. Homework is to finish Journal P3-8.
Science: We learned about the nervous system. Homework is to finish review page 61 started in class.
