Class activities for Wednesday, February 11
Spelling: We practiced adding on and removing suffixes from base words. This will be the skill tested on tomorrow’s spelling test.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due on Fridays.
Reading: None today due to market day shopping.
Writing: We reviewed ten core democratic values today that students can use in their opinion writing. A persuasive Letter to the Editor (guidelines) about a public policy issue facing the US will be due Friday, February 27.
Resources:
Math: We practiced finding the mean of a set of data (add up the data set and divide by the number in the set). Here are some skills we’ve been working on lately:
Homework is to practice math for 15 minutes or more using MobyMax or Khan Academy, and to work on MobyMax FactMaster for 5 minutes.
Science: We reviewed the district science test about studying people scientifically. We’ll be starting a new topic soon.
Social Studies: None today due to our reading skills and AR practice time.
