Class activities for Thursday, May 11
Reading: Today was a reading day for Literature Circles groups. We also watched and discussed a video about how students can keep themselves safe from abusive situations; this was part of the health curriculum.
Language Arts: Students continued to work on their rough draft of their individual Take a Stand projects. Students should be done with their surveys and graphs, and now be writing their argument. The final persuasive piece will be due Monday, May 15.
Spelling: None today as students completed a Math Skills post test consisting of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division problems. This was counted as a nine-point math grade.
A spelling test will be taken on Tuesday. The Level Four Core Word list is an option for continued practice.
Math: We played a review game to study for our next test over division, remainders, number stories and coordiate points, which will be taken Monday.
Science: Students continued to work on their Space Fashion Show projects. Students are planning their costume and writing fashion show scripts. See the requirements for more information. The Space Fashion Show will be on Tuesday, May 16, and will be worth a test grade.
Social Studies: None today due to art and our discussion of last-minute Mackinaw matters!

- Our Mackinaw trip begins tomorrow at 6:00 am. Please arrive around 5:45 am.

who thought the mackinaw trip was awsome? what was your favorite part?
my favorite part was the grand hotel.their food was awsome.the deserts were the best i’ve ever had.who saw the giant chess board.that was cool.the souvinere i got was somthing that im spending my easter money with.my papa had the party late because my grandmother had an acsident and broke her leg and a coupel ribs.so every body had to suffer for it .wellgot to go my cousin needs help with the babys.
