Class activities for Monday, May 15
Reading: Today was a discussion day for Literature Circles groups. We also had WEB silent reading time.
Language Arts: Students finished their final Take a Stand piece and turned it in to portfolios. The last piece of writing will be due June 2 and will be a collection of poems.
Spelling: None today due to art. A spelling test will be taken tomorrow.
The Level Four Core Word list is an option for continued practice.
Math: Students took a test today over division, number stories, remainders and ordered pairs.
Science: Students continued to work on their Space Fashion Show projects. The Space Fashion Show is tomorrow. Homework is to finish their scripts and costumes. See the requirements for more information.
Social Studies: We made Europeans Arrive in Michigan mini-books and read about the three countries (England, France and Spain) that colonized the New World. We also learned that France colonized Canada, which is why Quebec still speaks French.
