Class activities for Tuesday, June 6

Art: Students had art this morning and finished up their detailed tree house sketch.

Language Arts: We planned and rehearsed reading poems for today’s Poetry Slam.

Spelling: We took a final spelling test today.

Poetry Slam: Our Poetry Slam at Border’s went great! Students read a favorite poem of theirs while the class, family members and a few shoppers listened in. Students will be able to take home these poems and all their other pieces in their portfolios this week.

Science: We reviewed the water cycle, drew water cycle sketches, and acted out the water cycle in a melodramatic fashion! A short MiniQuiz was taken over the water cycle.

Social Studies: Chapter four worksheets were collected for a grade.

Notes:

  • End of the Year Pot Luck! Our class will be having a Pot Luck lunch on Thursday, June 8, starting at 1:00 pm. Students volunteered to bring a main dish, side dish, dessert, drink or utensils. Ask your student what they volunteered, and let me know if there are any adjustments that need to be made. We would love for you to come eat with us, and watch or help with our crazy games!
