Class activities for Wednesday, March 18

Spelling: Today we reviewed compound words.

Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due Fridays.

Reading: Today Literature Circles groups continued to work on their projects to share their books with the class. Students will present their projects on Friday.

Writing: Students continued to work on their novel being written and typed at docs.mrhowd.com.  Ask your student what their word count goal is and how many words they have written so far. Math: We started a unit on multiplication by practicing extended math facts (2*3=6, so 20*3=60). Homework is to finish Journal pp. 112-114 and Puzzle page 1, if not done in class.

Science: Students completed an experiment to model the usage of an overloaded circuit or broken wire.

Social Studies: None today due to library.

Social Studies: We read about the Three Fires people of Michigan and sang songs about them.
