Class activities for Thursday, April 23
Spelling: None today due to a writing minilesson.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due Fridays.
Reading: Today was a discussion day in Literature Circles.
Writing:We talked today about using comparisons to help the reader understand facts in an I-Search presentation (a hippo ways as much as 20 linebackers).
Students continued to work on their digital presentation using MrHowd.com Docs (docs.mrhowd.com), and using Bubbl.us to organize their information into a plan to use for their presentation.
Visit our research website and see what students are working on. This digital presentation is due Wednesday, April 29 and will be presented Friday, May 1.
Math: Students continued to practice multiplication. Homework is to finish a multiplication worksheet.
Science: We learned that the moon has 1/6 of the gravity of earth.
Social Studies: We learned about the founding of Detroit due to the fur trade in Michigan.
