Class activities for Friday, September 26
Spelling: None today.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due on Fridays.
Reading: Today was a reading skills practice day.
Writing: We talked about how the “inner story” is a character’s thoughts and feelings. The reader won’t know these unless the writer adds them. Inner story details are like dialogue; they make the story more interesting and realistic.
Students also worked on their draft today. A personal narrative is due on Friday, October 10. Your student should be drafting at this time.
Math: Students started a partner math quiz about decimals and place value. Partner are discussing and solving problems together on this assessment.
Homework is to practice math for 15 minutes or more using MobyMax or Khan Academy.
Science: We started to learn about the respiratory system.
