Class activities for Wednesday, November 5
Spelling: Students started making Words to Learn lists from words missed on the last spelling test. This will be your student’s spelling list for the next test.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due on Fridays.
Reading: Today, students finished the reading day started on Monday. It was also a reading skills practice day using MobyMax.
Writing: We talked about using recurring details to organize a story and make it feel more connected.
Our next piece of writing, a fiction story, is due Friday, November 21. Your student should be prewriting or drafting by now.
Math: We practiced using rounding to estimate products. Students also used MobyMax to practice math skills.
Homework is to practice math for 15 minutes or more using MobyMax or Khan Academy.
Science: Students made a bar graph of traits that were common with members of their team. Homework is to finish the traits bar graph if not done in class.
