Spelling: None today due to the social studies M-STEP test.

Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due on Fridays.

Reading: Today was a discussion day in Literature Circles.

Writing: We talked about the types of slides that should be included in each student’s presentation:

  1. Title slide.
  2. Introduction slide to explain what the presentation is about.
  3. At least five information slides.
  4. Sources slide.

Students also continued to work on their digital I-Search presentation slides. The project is due on May 1. Students will share their research as a digital presentation during our I-Search Conference on May 1.

Math: None today due to the social studies M-STEP test.

Here are recent and upcoming skills from Khan Academy:

It would be helpful for students to continue working on these skills at home if they haven’t had enough time in class to master them.

Homework is to practice math for 15 minutes or more using MobyMax or Khan Academy, and to work on MobyMax FactMaster for 5 minutes.

Science: We started working on an experiment about how sunlight changes during different seasons.

Social Studies: None today due to the social studies M-STEP test.
