Class activities for Wednesday, May 13
Spelling: None today.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due on Fridays.
Reading: Today was a discussion day in Literature Circles. We also reviewed our last STAR Reading test. As shown below, our class has reached our yearly goal of a 5.7 reading level. Our stretch goal is to try to get to 6.0 with two tests remaining. We’ll be taking another STAR Reading test tomorrow.
Writing: Today, we talked about using fragments to write poems, instead of writing in complete sentences. Students also continued to work on their collection of poems, due Friday, May 22.
Math: None today due to the late start.

It would be helpful for students to continue working on these skills at home if they haven’t had enough time in class to master them.
Homework is to practice math for 15 minutes or more using MobyMax or Khan Academy, and to work on MobyMax FactMaster for 5 minutes.
