Class activities for Tuesday, May 19
Spelling: We reviewed use of either/or and neither/nor today. We also practiced spelling words with long vowel sounds; this will be the skill tested on Thursday’s spelling test.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due on Fridays.
Reading: None today due to art.
Writing: Today, we read about a poem about a snow angel coming to life. The poem had a lot of imagery and also used line breaks to put matching ides on each line. Students also continued to work on their collection of poems, due Friday, May 22.

Math: We worked on fraction skills today in MobyMax Math.

It would be helpful for students to continue working on these skills at home if they haven’t had enough time in class to master them.
Homework is to practice math for 15 minutes or more using MobyMax or Khan Academy, and to work on MobyMax FactMaster for 5 minutes.
Science: We started an activity about comparing other planets to earth.
Social Studies: We started to learn about how the colonies defeated a stronger British army in the Revolution.
