Class activities for Monday, June 1

Spelling: None today.

Cursive: There will be no new cursive assignments this year.

Reading: None today due to extra time with math.

Writing: Students worked on editing their novel in preparation for publishing it this week.

Math: Math this week will consist of a final push to master any remaining skills for fractions, volume, and shapes.

Here are the final topics of 5th grade:

It would be helpful for students to continue working on these skills at home if they haven’t had enough time in class to master them.

Homework is to practice math for 15 minutes or more using MobyMax or Khan Academy, and to work on MobyMax FactMaster for 5 minutes.

Science: We reviewed categories of space objects from last week’s science experiment.

Social Studies: We reviewed the first amendment to the constitution: freedom of speech, press, religion, assembly and petition.
