Reading: Today the final groups performed their Literature Circles Reader’s Theatre projects. The groups practiced reading with good speed, tone, accuracy, and volume.
Writing: We continued to learn about breaking a text into paragraphs. Today was also the first revising day; your student should be going back to their draft to add new details, take out parts that don’t match, or to change words or ideas. A fiction story will be due Monday, November 30.
Math: We practiced comparing and ordering numbers using place value. Students also used Khan Academy to practice math skills.
Here are some skills we’ve been working on lately:
Homework is to practice MobyMax Math or Khan Academy for at least 15 minutes.
Science: None today due to our reading skills and AR practice time.
Social Studies: Students completed a MiniQuiz about supply, demand, competition, and price, and we also started to learn about positive and negative incentives. Homework is to finish the Incentives and You notes page if not done in class.
