Class activities for Thursday, May 5
Spelling: None today.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due on Fridays.
Reading: Today was a discussion day in Literature Circles.
Writing: We worked on our poem collection today. Some students worked on musical poems using repetition, a beat, or rhyming.
A collection of poems will be due Friday, May 20.
Math: We worked on making common denominators today in Khan Academy.
Homework is to practice MobyMax Math or Khan Academy for at least 15 minutes.
Science: We decided to plant radish seeds to use for our plant needs experiments. We also learned that living creatures all complete four basic activities:
- movement
- growth/reproduction
- maintenance/repair
- eliminating waste
Social Studies: We reviewed land and water features of the US and will look for examples of these land and water forms next time.
