Class activities for Thursday, May 12
Spelling: None today. We’ll be having a spelling test next week.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due on Fridays. This week’s will be due on Monday due to the field trip.
Reading: None today due to the M-STEP science test.
Writing: We learned about how to write a fragment poem today. Here’s an example from a past year. The idea is to write a poem using short fragments, one on each line, instead of writing long lines or sentences.
A collection of poems will be due Friday, May 20.
Math: We didn’t have much time today due to getting ready for our Mackinac trip. Homework is to practice MobyMax Math or Khan Academy for at least 15 minutes.
Science: Today was the final part of the M-STEP science test.
Social Studies: We started labeling US landforms on a map.
