Class activities for Wednesday, June 8

Spelling: We practiced adding suffixes onto words; this will be the skill tested on tomorrow’s spelling test.

Cursive: No new cursive assignments this year.

Reading: Today was the final discussion day this year in Literature Circles.

Writing: We worked on publishing our novels today using Lulu.com.

Math: Students worked on geometry skills today. Homework is to practice MobyMax Math or Khan Academy for at least 15 minutes. This is the final week to finish any skills for this marking period, including division, fractions, decimals, and geometry. You can check ParentVue or StudentVue to see if your student has any skills to finish.

Science: We dissected owl pellets today to learn about their food chain. We learned that barn owls eat mice, voles, shrews, and moles.

Social Studies: None today.
