Class activities for Friday, November 4
Spelling: None today due to our Hawaiian Beach Bash.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due on Fridays.
Reading: None today due to extra time with science.
Writing: None today due to our Hawaiian Beach Bash.
Our last personal narrative will be due Monday, November 7; your student should be finalizing their writing at this time. Homework is to finish the current piece of writing.
Math: None today due to our Hawaiian Beach Bash. Homework is to practice math for at least 15 minutes using MobyMax Math or Khan Academy.
Here are some Khan Academy topics your students should be finished with by now:
- Multiplication Without Regrouping
- Multiplication With Regrouping
- Multiplying 2-Digit Numbers
- Multi-Digit Multiplication
Science: We reviewed our last science quiz. Students had challenges with using data to prove their claims about if medicines are safe and effective. Many students said they were interested in improving their quiz grade. I told students I’ll have copies of their answers on Monday and they can turn in corrections next week.
We also reviewed the last experiment about not changing many variables in an experiment.
Social Studies: None today due to extra time with science.
