December 6th, 2018
Class activities for Thursday, December 6
Spelling: None today.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due Fridays.
Reading: None today due to a health and nutrition lesson.
Writing: We talked writing realistic dialogue to make characters sound real. Students also worked on revising today. A narrative story (personal or fiction) is due Sunday, December 16. Homework on weekdays is to work on writing for 15 minutes. Your student should have their draft done by now, but several students in our class are behind.
Math: Some students worked on two-digit multiplication again for a final day today, while others continued to other skills. Homework on weekdays is to practice math for 15 minutes using MobyMax or Khan Academy.
Science: We reviewed how to write a science today by making a claim, giving evidence, and explaining why it matters.
Social Studies: We read more about New Spain and how the settlers sometimes cooperated with and sometimes hurt the Native Americans there.
Character Strength: We are learning about kindness this week.
