Class activities for Tuesday, April 30
Spelling: Students completed a writing log entry about the novel they wrote, focusing on bright spots and areas to work on.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due Fridays.
Reading: None today.
Writing: We learned that one element of poetry is having imagery or visual details. Students also worked on writing a nature poem with imagery. A collection of poems will be due Sunday, May 19.
Homework on weekdays is to work on writing for 15 minutes.
Math: Students competed a STAR Math test and we also practice multiplying fractions today. Homework on weekdays is to practice math for 15 minutes using MobyMax or Khan Academy.
Science: We drew a revised model drawing of how we separated food coloring using chromatography paper.
Social Studies: Students completed a test about like in the colonies.
Character Strength: We are learning about purpose this week.
