Class activities for Monday, April 29
Spelling: None today.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due Fridays.
Reading: We read an informational article about how scientists have learned more about the earth using modern technology.
Writing: We started our next piece of writing, poetry. We reviewed the idea that not all poems rhyme. Students also started prewriting a list of possible poem topics.
Homework on weekdays is to work on writing for 15 minutes.
Math: We used this time to take a STAR Reading test. Homework on weekdays is to practice math for 15 minutes using MobyMax or Khan Academy.
Science: We evaluated some models about how chromatography works and looked for the model that seemed to fit the facts the best.
Social Studies: None today. We will have a test tomorrow over what life was like in the colonies.
Character Strength: We are learning about purpose this week.
