Class activities for Wednesday, June 5

Wednesday, June 5th, 2019

Spelling: None today.

Cursive: There are no more cursive assignments this year.

Reading: We read books from the Epic library. You can purchase a summer subscription to Epic for $3. That will give your student plenty of books to read. They can read on a tablet or their chromebook, and can even download books to read in the car. Use code SUMMER19 (expires June 11) to get the summer for $3.

Writing: Students worked publishing their novel today.

Math: We worked on converting metric units today. Homework on weekdays is to practice math for 15 minutes using MobyMax or Khan Academy. Final math grades are due Saturday, so this is the final week to complete unfinished math skills.

Science: We have completed science for the year.

Social Studies: We talked writing a written budget, making sure not to spend more than you earn, about how to “pay yourself first” by saving 10% of all money you bring in, and about how to save money by buying used cars, not new or leased ones.

Writing: Students worked editing their Find It, Decide It research project. This project will be due Sunday, June 2. Homework on weekdays is to work on writing for 15 minutes.

Math: We worked on fractions and volume skills today. Homework on weekdays is to practice math for 15 minutes using MobyMax or Khan Academy.

Science: We have completed science for the year. Today was the third human growth and development class.

Social Studies: Students completed a digital review and quiz about the Bill of Rights and completed a district social studies test today.
