Class activities for Monday, October 14
Spelling: None today.
Cursive: Cursive workbook pp. 28-30 are due Friday.
Reading: Today was our first Literature Circles reading day. Each student received a text at their level to read with a group of students. Today they started reading their books silently and writing down in a notebook.
Writing: None today due to our technology time.
The third and last piece of the marking period is a slightly fictionalized personal narrative, due Friday, November 1. Your student should be prewriting at this time.
Math: We reviewed for tomorrow’s math test about multiplication and division. A practice test can be found on p. 34 in the math book.
Science: Students completed an experiment to test how the force of magnet changes over distance. Homework is to finish the “Breaking the Force” experiment if not done in class.
Social Studies: We reviewed scarcity, making choices, and opportunity cost today.

- The Fall Partnership Fundraiser has started. Orders and money are due October 18 (new date). This fundraiser helps fund assemblies, supplies, and small field trips. We’ll have a separate fundraiser for our Mackinac trip.
