Class activities for Friday, October 10
Spelling: None today.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due on Fridays.
Reading: Today was a reading skills practice day using AR and MobyMax Reading Skills.
Writing: We talked about how important it is to finish a piece of writing with a strong ending. Like leads, a story can ending with some talking, some action, or a visual detail. The ending is the last thing the reader will be thinking about, so it’s important to make it count.
Students also worked on publishing today.
A personal narrative is due today, although students may still continue working on it over the weekend. We’ll start a new project next week.
Math: We practiced drawing pictures help solve number stories. Students also practiced math skills using Khan Academy.
Here’s some skills we’ve been working on lately:
Homework is to practice math for 15 minutes or more using MobyMax or Khan Academy.
Science: We learned about how food is digested in the digestive system.
Social Studies: None today due to our math skills practice time.
