Class activities for Wednesday, October 15
Spelling: None today.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due on Fridays.
Reading: Today was a discussion day in Literature Circles.
Writing: Students continued to work on prewriting for their next personal narrative; they also worked on prewriting conferences with a partner.
A personal narrative, slightly fictionalized, is due Friday, October 31. Your student should be finishing prewriting by now.
Math: We practiced adding and subtracting decimals today using MobyMax.
Here’s some skills we’ve been working on lately:
Homework is to practice math for 15 minutes or more using MobyMax or Khan Academy.
Science: We finished learning about the excretory system, and students completed a MiniQuiz about the nervous, digestive, and respiratory systems.
Social Studies: Students groups shared their notes about an American Indian tribe. Homework is to finish notebook p. 20.
