Class activities for Monday, November 17
Spelling: None today.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due on Fridays.
Reading: Students worked on Literature Circles projects that they will perform starting tomorrow in order to share their book with the class.
Writing: We talked about how to tighten dialogue by making it important to the story, and by removing dialogue that isn’t interesting or important.
Students also worked on revising conferences today. A fiction story is due Monday, November 24. Your student should be revising by now.
Math: We reviewed multiplying two-digit numbers today
Here are some of the skills we’ve been working on lately. These would be good skills to practice at home.

- Multiplying 2 digits by 2 digits
- Multi-digit multiplication
- Powers of ten
Homework is to practice math for 15 minutes or more using MobyMax or Khan Academy.
