Class activities for Tuesday, January 24
Spelling: None today.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due on Fridays.
Reading: Today we learned more about our future class play, The Legend of Lightning Larry. We read the text and watched a performance. We’ll practice and perform this play in March. More details will be available soon.
Writing: We started working on our next writing project, a literary essay (here’s a sample). Students will select a picture book and write an essay about the theme or big idea of the book.
A literary essay will be due Friday, February 10.
Math: We practiced rounding to estimate decimal division. Homework is to practice math for at least 15 minutes using MobyMax Math or Khan Academy.
Science: We completed an experiment about the digestive system. Homework is to finish the experiment and a digestive system notes page.
Social Studies: Students worked on digital assessments about the colonial regions of the US.
