Class activities for Friday, May 5
Spelling: None today.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due on Fridays.
Reading: Today was a reading skills and AR practice day.
Writing: Students worked on their poetry again today. A collection of poems will be due on Friday, May 19.
To finish our information project, our I-Search Conference will on May 9 from 1:30-2:30. Here is the schedule.
Homework is to work on poems for 15 minutes.
Math: We worked on adding and subtracing word problems today. Homework is to practice math for at least 15 minutes using MobyMax Math or Khan Academy.
Recent skills we’ve worked on:
- Common denominators
- Add fractions with unlike denominators
- Subtract fractions with unlike denominators
- Add and subtract mixed numbers with unlike denominators 1
- Add and subtract mixed numbers with unlike denominators 2
Science: Students continued to test their jet-powered car during the Jet Toy Challenge today.
Social Studies: None today. We’ll have a test about the Revolutionary War on Monday.
