Class activities for Wednesday, November 28

Spelling: Students worked on a writing log and reflection about their last piece of writing.

Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due Fridays.

Reading: We read some folktales today about people that made a plan and solved a problem.

Writing: We talked about writing balanced scenes that have some each of talking, action, and visual details. Balanced scenes keep switching to different details, including all three in every scene.

Students also continued prewriting today. A narrative story is due Sunday, December 16. Homework on weekdays is to work on writing for 15 minutes. Your student should be finished with prewriting their ideas by tonight.

Math: We practiced multiplying with regrouping today. Homework on weekdays is to practice math for 15 minutes using MobyMax or Khan Academy.

Science: We used a simulation to see how soil can be changed if decomposers are removed.

Social Studies: None today.

Character Strength: We are learning about the #OtherPeopleMatter mindset this week.

Our Mission:
All students in Room 130 will do their best and get ready for 6th grade.
