Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due Fridays.

Reading: Students worked on MobyMax Reading Stories today.

Writing: We talked about the problem and solution of our stories using a simple organizer: Somebody Wanted But So. It reminds students to think about the main character, what they want to happen, what problem arises, and what they do to solve the problem.

A fiction story is due Sunday, November 25. Homework on weekdays is to work on writing for 15 minutes. Students should be finished with prewriting their fiction story by tonight.

Science: We used a simulation to learn that all organisms get energy from breaking down food matter. Plants break down the food matter that they make to use for energy. The sun is the main source of energy in an ecosystem, because the sun allows plants to make food, and then that food matter moves up the food chain. Without the sun, there would be no food.
