Class activities for Thursday, December 13
Spelling: We practiced using apostrophes to show ownership: Jason’s pencil. Jessica’s cat.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due Fridays.
Reading: Students read a play to practice reading with fluency, including reading with good speed, tone, accuracy, and volume.
Writing: We talked more about using a recurring or repeating detail in writing. This especially works when ending with a recurring so that the ending is circular.

Math: Students took a STAR Math test today. Homework on weekdays is to practice math for 15 minutes using MobyMax or Khan Academy.
Science: We continued to comment on a partner’s
Social Studies: We read about English settlements, including the lost colony of Roanoke.
