May 6th, 2019
Class activities for Monday, May 6
Spelling: None today due to a class project.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due Fridays.
Reading: None today due to visiting West Middle School for a tour.
Writing: We talked about writing a fragment poem by writing a few words on each line, rather than full sentences. Here’s an example written by a past class.
A collection of poems will be due Sunday, May 19. Homework on weekdays is to work on writing for 15 minutes.
Math: None today due to art. Homework on weekdays is to practice math for 15 minutes using MobyMax or Khan Academy.
Science: We used a simulation to model how solids dissolve into a liquid. We noticed that if the liquid attracts the molecules of the solid, it will dissolve.
Social Studies: We read about the main ideas of the Declaration of Independence.
Character Strength: We are learning about leadership this week.
