Science: Today we learned about how the motion of the earth causes days, years, and seasons. Homework is to finish analysis 1-2 on p. 40.

Social Studies: We started to learn about arguments for and against independence. Today, we learned about two Loyalists that wanted to stay part of Great Britain.

Science: Today was the second session of our Jet Toy Challenge. Students finished their chassis, made sure the car rolled in a straight line, built their balloon jet engine, and started to test different types of tubes to connect to the balloon.

Social Studies: Students completed a Reading Challenge and Internet Tutorial MiniQuiz about the growing tensions between Britain and the colonies.

Social Studies: We learned about the Proclamation of 1763, the Quartering Act, and the Stamp Act–laws that took freedoms from the colonists or increased taxes, without any kind of representation.
