Class activities for Tuesday, October 22
Spelling: We reviewed the idea that homographs are words that are spelled the same, but have different meanings and sometimes sound different.
Cursive: Cursive workbook pp. 31-33 are due Friday.
Reading: Today was a reading and discussion day in Literature Circles.
Writing: Today was a drafting work day.
The third and last piece of the marking period is a slightly fictionalized personal narrative, due Friday, November 1. Your student should be nearing the end of their draft by now.
Math: Students worked on math skills using MobyMax today.
Science: None today due to extra time with social studies.
Social Studies: We learned about the features of a market economy: specialization, competition, voluntary exchange, and consumer sovereignty.
